The MET fund was created by a team of entrepreneurs interested in supporting design-based startups and innovative entrepreneurship education. The founding team works closely with the portfolio companies to scale impactful ventures and high potential startup teams.

NORBERT CHANG

General Partner

Norbert, is the fund’s General Partner. He is a serial entrepreneur and has founded and served as CEO of two media tech companies. Both companies were acquired by global mass media conglomerates. He has also fundraised from multiple Fortune Global 500 companies and leading institutional investors.

DR SVAFA GRONFELDT

Svafa is a venture designer and entrepreneur. She was a member of a team that created and scaled two global life science companies. Svafa is a former president of Reykjavik University and throughout her career, she has looked for ways to combine her academic background, executive experience and lifelong passion for design. Currently, Svafa serves on the board of directors of three NASDAQ OMX listed companies.

THE ADVISORY BOARD

A non-executive committee with academic and industry experts with depth knowledge of the built environment, urban design, business and entrepreneurship serves as a strategic adviser to the MET fund. The advisory board does not include MET fund investors.
